A hotel search filter marked "laundry" may mean paid service, a shared coin laundry or a machine inside the room. Those are three different travel experiences. This list includes properties whose official pages describe an in-room machine in at least the named room types.

Sofitel's serviced-residence listings on the official Accor page describe selected studios and one-bedroom suites with a kitchenette and washing machine. These rooms are in Jamsil beside Seokchon Lake, not central Myeongdong or Jongno.
The distinction between a hotel guestroom and a serviced residence matters. A standard hotel room at the same property may not include the residential appliances shown for the residence category.

Washer, dryer or combination machine?
Korean residences commonly use a combination washer-dryer. It washes and dries in one drum, but a full drying cycle can be much longer than a separate tumble dryer. Some delicate clothes should not be machine dried.
Ask the hotel these exact questions:
- Is the machine inside this exact room type?
- Does it wash only, or wash and dry?
- Is detergent supplied or sold nearby?
- Are the controls labeled in English?
- Can staff provide instructions for a short cycle?
Room laundry changes how you pack
With a reliable washer, travelers can pack fewer base layers and schedule one laundry evening in the middle of the stay. Still carry enough clothing for a delayed cycle. Heavy cotton, jeans and several towels can take much longer to dry than lightweight travel clothing.

Save the official room page and send the property a message before the cancellation deadline. State the room name and ask for written confirmation that a functioning washer or washer-dryer is inside that unit. If the machine is essential for medical, child-care or long-stay reasons, say so plainly.
On arrival, report a nonworking machine immediately. Do not wait until the last night, when the hotel may have no engineering staff or replacement room available. Ask what alternative laundry arrangement the property will provide if the advertised appliance cannot be used.
